World Wildlife Day: Today is the day to celebrate all wildlife however it is important not to forget those that are in captivity. Whilst many captive animals have a great, fully enriched life, others are not so lucky. Due to human actions animals are becoming extinct in the wild and suffering in captivity. It is our responsibility to provide the best possible care to all animals under our care.
In addition, it is important that you, as visitors to facilities, ensure that you are visiting responsibly, choosing only places that provide species-specific environments and enrichment whilst not engaging in exploitative practices such as young animal interactions or photo ops.
