After our first visit to see the Tiger Temple tigers in 2021 we started providing chicken for them. Due to budget cuts, the facilities were, and still are, struggling to provide enough food for all their animals, particularly the tigers. With that in mind, we began donating full chickens to both facilities once a week.
The first Chicken Run was on October 21st and they have been continuing weekly since then and will go on until the first week of January. With this extra boost, we're hoping to be able to give the tigers more nutritious food rather than their current diet of carcasses only.
At this time we have done 9 chicken runs with the tigers, and a few of the other carnivores at these facilities, all benefiting. Here are just some of the tigers enjoying their chicken!
